WHAT ARE WVU GRADUATE PHOTOS AND WHY ARE THEY IMPORTANT?
Every session is centered around Woodburn Circle because it's simply the epitome of WVU. If you want to hit your favorite spots all over campus like your favorite Friday night hangout, your department building, the coffee shop you lived in for four years, the Graduate 4.0 Experience upgrade takes us wherever you want to go.
WHERE DO YOU TAKE WVU GRADUATION PHOTOS?
Spring grads should book in early-to-mid April, before the campus fills up with cap-and-gown sessions and the foliage starts to bloom. Fall/December grads have a shorter window, so I recommend reaching out as soon as you register for graduation. Golden hour on around Woodburn Circle is worth planning around timing really is everything.
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY WVU GRAD SESSION?
Late afternoon into golden hour is best time of day to schedule your sesion. The sun sets behind Woodburn Hall and creates soft, flattering light that's hard to get any other time of day, which is why sessions are scheduled from 3:00 p.m. on.
WHAT'S THE BEST TIME OF DAY FOR WVU GRADUATION PHOTOS?
A standard session lasts about an hour and includes guided posing, natural movement, and opportunities for variety, with more extended experiences available for multiple locations or outfit changes.
HOW LONG DOES A TYPICAL WVU GRADUATE SESSION LAST AND WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Absolutely. Family, roommates, significant others, friends, even your best fur friend, can all be part of your session. Just let me know ahead of time who's joining so I can plan the shot list accordingly; keep in mind it's still one hour total, so extra people share that time rather than adding to it. The one exception: if you've got multiple graduates in the mix, that session moves into the Graduate Duo or Graduate Collective package instead.
Do you photograph family and friends too?
Session pricing starts at $297 depending on the experience you choose (solo, duo, family, or the full Graduate 4.0 Experience). A 50% non-refundable booking fee secures your session, with the remaining balance due one day before your session. Full pricing details are shared once you reach out through my contact page.
HOW MUCH DOES A WVU GRAD PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION COST, AND IS A DEPOSIT REQUIRED?
Let's be honest, West Virginia weather is unpredictable, so sessions aren't locked to a random date months out, they're scheduled weekly based on forecast and light. If your day looks like a washout, we'll reschedule to the next available slot at no extra cost. Flexibility is built into the process from the start.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS OR THE WEATHER DOESN'T COOPERATE?
Your online gallery is delivered within 1–2 weeks of your session, fully edited and ready to download in high resolution. Because the turnaround is already so quick, sneak peeks aren't offered. You'll get your full gallery, not a partial preview, and you'll be notified by email the moment it's live. From there, you can order prints, albums, and other keepsakes directly through your gallery.
HOW LONG UNTIL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS, AND WILL I GET A SNEAK PEEK?
Yes. Your gallery includes high-resolution, print-ready files you're free to use for announcements, social media, and sharing with family. As a Basic Invite affiliate partner, I'll also send you a 20% off code for graduation announcements and thank-you cards once your gallery is delivered.
