When it's time to schedule your session, I focus on those sunny, golden vibes. I only offer dates when the forecast looks bright because your photos deserve the best lighting. After all, nobody wants to pose in the rain.
You’ll choose your date from the options I post in our private Facebook group, which I update based on the weather. Keep an eye out and grab a spot when the sun is expected to shine!

WVU graduate photos are professional portrait sessions designed to celebrate your graduation from West Virginia University. We capture your special moment in a natural, confident, and fun style to help you remember your achievement.
WHAT ARE WVU GRADUATE PHOTOS AND WHY ARE THEY IMPORTANT?
Each session starts at Woodburn Circle, which really captures what WVU is all about. If you want to visit your favorite places on campus—like your go-to Friday night spot, your apartment building, or the coffee shop where you spent so much time—the Graduate 4.0 Experience upgrade lets us go wherever you choose.
WHERE DO YOU TAKE WVU GRADUATION PHOTOS?
If you’re graduating in the spring, book your session in early to mid-April, before campus gets busy with cap-and-gown photos and the trees start to bloom. Fall and December grads have less time, so it’s best to reach out as soon as you register for graduation. The golden hour around Woodburn Circle is especially beautiful, so plan your timing carefully.
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY WVU GRAD SESSION?
The best time to schedule your session is in the late afternoon, leading into golden hour. When the sun sets behind Woodburn Hall, it creates soft, flattering light that is difficult to find at other times. That’s why we book sessions starting at 3:00 p.m.
WHAT'S THE BEST TIME OF DAY FOR WVU GRADUATION PHOTOS?
A typical session takes about an hour. During this time, I guide you through poses and natural movements, and we try different looks. If you want to visit more locations or change outfits, longer sessions are available.
HOW LONG DOES A TYPICAL WVU GRADUATE SESSION LAST AND WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Of course! You can include family, roommates, significant others, friends, or even your pet in your session. Please let me know in advance who will be joining so I can plan the shot list. Remember, the session is still one hour total, so everyone shares that time. The only exception is if you have more than one graduate, in which case you'll need to book the Graduate Duo or Graduate Collective package.
Do you photograph family and friends too?
Session pricing begins at $297 and changes depending on the experience you select, such as solo, duo, or the full Graduate 4.0 Experience. To reserve your spot, a 50% non-refundable booking fee is required. The remaining amount is due the day before your session. HOW MUCH DOES A WVU GRAD PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION COST, AND IS A DEPOSIT REQUIRED?
West Virginia weather can be unpredictable, so instead of setting dates far in advance, we schedule sessions each week based on the forecast and available daylight. If it looks like rain on your day, we will move your session to the next open slot at no extra charge. Flexibility is part of our process from the beginning.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS OR THE WEATHER DOESN'T COOPERATE?
You’ll receive your online gallery within one to two weeks after your session. All your photos will be fully edited and ready to download in high resolution. Since the turnaround is already fast, I don’t offer sneak peeks. Instead, you’ll get your complete gallery all at once, and I’ll email you as soon as it’s ready. After that, you can order prints, albums, and other keepsakes right from your gallery.
HOW LONG UNTIL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS, AND WILL I GET A SNEAK PEEK?
Yes, your gallery comes with high-resolution, print-ready files that you can use for announcements, social media, or to share with your family. After I deliver your gallery, I'll send you a 20% off code for graduation announcements and thank-you cards through my partnership with Basic Invite.
