What a beautiful day we had for Samantha’s graduate session at West Virginia University! I love it when students celebrate their college graduation with a fun photo shoot. After four years of taking courses and working hard for her diploma, I was honored to document this special time for Samantha!
West Virginia University Graduate Session
Samantha graduated with a four-year degree in Forensic Chemistry. She is originally from New Jersey and planned to return that way after receiving her diploma. She planned her photo shoot for after graduation since she was staying in Morgantown until the end of May. We were so lucky when we got to campus to shoot her portraits because everyone was gone! We had the entire college campus to ourselves! Samantha’s boyfriend Frank came along for her session, helped with outfit changes, and carried her props. He is planning on popping the question later this year!
Woodburn Circle at WVU
Her graduate session took place at one of the most popular spots on campus, Woodburn Circle. Samantha graduated with honors and wore a special yellow gown that signifies her achievements. She also wore a special stole that showed her involvement with an organization called AMOM, or A Moment of Magic.
This special organization was started by two college students in 2014. The organization’s founders wanted to find a way to help children in need. A Moment of Magic has college-age students volunteer at children’s hospitals and schools dressed as some of the world’s most popular princesses. They also have virtual videos online for kids to watch their favorite characters and princesses read books. As of 2021, the program has 29 college chapters and served over 100,000 children.
Samantha has been involved with this organization while completing her degree at West Virginia University. She played the character, Sofia the First for this program. In recognition of her volunteer service hours, Samantha received her special blue and yellow stole. Samantha even showed a photo of herself all dressed up as Sofia! What a wonderful organization to volunteer your time to help children at local hospitals!
Graduate sessions at West Virginia University make me so happy! Thank you Samantha for trusting me with your photo shoot and congratulations on all your achievements! If you’re ready for a graduate session at Woodburn Circle, let’s start planning! I’ll be super excited to get your email!
