Beautiful Oglebay Resort Wedding in Historic Wheeling

Megan and Josh had a classy Oglebay Resort Wedding on a warm July day.

Surprisingly, this adorable couple met in college through mutual friends. Being from Leesburg, VA, this was a destination wedding for them and everyone that attended.

Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, WV offers an array of 2,000 acres of natural beauty and numerous ballroom and banquet rooms subsequently providing a picturesque location and a versatile venue. Additionally, Oglebay provides a variety of sports and activities that are great for wedding parties and guests to enjoy during their stay at the couple’s celebration.

Comparatively, Weddings at Oglebay offer several grand spaces for the occasion. Megan and Josh held their reception at Glessner Auditorium. This upscale 8,000 square feel ballroom has seating for up to 350 guests. Additionally, the room’s exceptional split-level design allows plenty of space for seating and entertainment. Featuring gorgeous wood accents, this reception space was invariably decorated with string lights, fresh floral pieces, and floating candle sconces on each table, thus creating an ambiance of beauty.

Megan and Josh were so eager to marry one another that they couldn’t hold back their excitement! Megan had always dreamed of looking like a princess on her wedding day, so she chose a ball gown wedding dress.

Once family members helped both Megan and Josh get ready, they met up and shared a first look. Additionally, I always encourage my couples to have a first look because it gives them alone time to see how lovely they both look, and it saves so much time. As a result, capturing a First Look for them gave us more time for portraits. Walking around the beautiful grounds, I grabbed wonderful pictures of Megan and Josh for their Oglebay Resort Wedding. Afterward, they had a lovely ceremony with a streamer exit.
