There’s no better way to commemorate a major milestone in life than by having WVU Graduation Photos taken?! As a recent West Virginia University Law School graduate, Alex wasn’t too excited about having a photo session but agreed to do so because her mom wanted her to. We had to reschedule her photoshoot several times because of the weather. We’re so glad we did because we had the perfect warm summer evening, and golden hour was just gorgeous. Alex plans on working in a law firm in Beckley, WV, to work in a law firm with her uncle, and aspires to practice criminal law.

We chose to take her photos at the Erickson Alumni Center and WVU’s Law School. WVU has recently upgraded the law school, and I love the school’s entrance with the vast staircase and large letters on the face of the building. Both of these areas are majestic looking and the perfect spots for Alex’s pictures. This session was so much fun, and Alex looked adorable in the outfits she chose, along with her cap and gown. 

Whether you’re graduating from high school or college, I highly recommend a senior portrait session. This is a huge accomplishment; capturing pictures during this time will provide you with something you’ll always cherish. I also like to grab a few photos of you during your session without your cap and gown that you can use for future use. Now that you’ve graduated, you’ll possibly need headshots for your resume or CV.

It’s important to me that when getting your photos, we make it a celebratory session and have fun! I was so excited about the champagne spray! This is my favorite, it’s SO MUCH FUN, and I highly recommend incorporating this into your shoot. It’s the epitome of celebration, and the spray really stands out in golden-hour light. 

I was thrilled when Alex’s mom reached out to me when looking for WVU graduation photos. After I sent Alex her gallery, she texted me saying, “I LOVE them!!! And my mom is crying. Thank you so so much! You turned something I was dreading into a little celebration for me, and I am so grateful!”

Achieving a certificate or degree is an extraordinary feat worth celebrating, and what better way to celebrate this achievement than through a photo shoot? It is a remarkable opportunity to honor your hard work, dedication, and personal growth while embracing the excitement that accompanies this significant milestone.
