Constructed in 2017, The White Barn at Lucas Farm opened its doors to host weddings and events in a luxurious, whimsical space. Matt and Brittney, owners of the White Barn Oakland MD bought the land from Matt’s parents, which had been in the family for over 200 years. This was a dream come true for them, and several years later, this venue is thriving with blissful couples that marry at this beautiful location.

Venue Details:
The venue sits on 40 acres of magnificent land surrounded by picture-perfect landscapes. The barn boasts approximately 4,800 square feet of space with a white interior and exterior. This barn is the perfect location for your charming, vintage farm wedding, providing 30-foot vaulted ceilings, dark walnut stained tongue and groove Pine floors, and an 18-foot main entrance door. Known as one of the largest one-level venues, they cater to convenience and accessibility. This location provides year-round services as their barn has heat, and all events can occur inside if needed.
Exterior Venue Details
Adorning The White Barn at Lucas Farm is a 15,000-square-foot pond behind the barn and a 200-year-old Oak tree that furnishes an exquisite backdrop for photos. The exterior provides several other amenities, such as a paver patio with a fire pit out front of the barn and a corncrib adorned with a chandelier and uplighting for magical nighttime moments. In addition, they have a 1949 grain truck that can be used for photos.
A 7,500-square-foot paver patio is available and is a great place to host cocktail hour. It’s partially covered and furnished with a large sofa and barrel-top tables with umbrellas and stools. A 40′ silo was recently added to the back patio providing two restrooms, benefiting anyone outside.
Outside Ceremony Spots:
A wood beam pergola outside ceremony space in front of the pond is an excellent option for couples. This spot has permanent white wood benches and umbrellas for guest seating. Another exterior ceremony option is located at the front of the barn with a floral arbor and a 100′ paver patio aisle.
The White Barn at Lucas Farm Cost:
One-day wedding package begins at $13,500 and includes:
- One-day rental beginning at 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
- Day of wedding coordinator
- Bridal/Groom suites
- Table centerpiece decorations
- Basic clean-up, including boxing up personal items
- Farm tables and chairs for indoor reception, as well as other furnishings inside
- Each table will have a table runner, glass hurricane with candle, votive holders and candles, and table number
This wedding package is for 175 guests, and each additional person is $40 per person for up to 225 people (guests, vendors, and staff included in the maximum of 225 per the fire code). It is possible to accommodate more people if a tent is rented. The pricing information is good for the 2023/2024 wedding season if booked before June 2023. A non-refundable booking fee is needed to schedule your wedding date, with the additional amount due 90 days before the wedding.
Staff will remain on site to ensure bathrooms are kept cleaned and stocked, as well as trash and dinner clean up. A parking attendant is available with the wedding package, along with the use of a golf cart.
A wide range of decor is available for rent, including arbor florals, swags, tableware, and over 7,000 decorative items.
After scheduling a date for the White Barn Oakland MD, a list of preferred vendors will be sent to you. However, if you choose not to use a preferred vendor, they must be licensed, insured, and approved by the venue.
The White Barn at Lucas Farm Additional Accommodations:
Onsite sleeping quarters are available if desired. The White Barn purchased the neighboring property that will sleep up to 12 people. Renting this space is optional but convenient for out-of-town guests or wedding party members. The Farmhouse rents for $700 per night. The nearest overnight accommodation is 10-25 minutes from the venue location.
