Melissa and Chuck’s West Virginia Wedding was on a hot, sunny July day.

Melissa and her family are from my hometown, Follansbee, West Virginia, and Chuck is from Bridgeville, Pennsylvania. They met on Facebook, as Melissa was the one to reach out to him, and the rest is history. Melissa attends St. Anthony’s Catholic Church regularly.

Melissa was so excited to get married! She loves the movie Beauty and the Beast, and this was her “Belle Moment.” She chose her wedding dress because of Belle’s gown in the movie. I photographed Melissa’s sister’s wedding in 2017, and she wore her veil as something borrowed. As a West Virginia Wedding Photographer, it makes my job even easier when my couples are so excited for their wedding day and ready to marry one another. Melissa could hardly wait for Chuck to become her husband, and it was so sweet seeing Melissa smile while shedding a few tears when walking down the aisle.

Melissa and Chuck’s wedding day was vibrant. The bridesmaids wore a bold, wild berry color, and the groomsmen wore navy. These colorful hues pair well together. Melissa and her bridesmaid’s bouquets were as bright as their dresses. She pinned a picture pendant of Chuck’s parents on their wedding day to her bouquet.

Their West Virginia Wedding Venue was at St. Francis Centre. It was great to be in my hometown for this West Virginia Wedding. From growing up in Follansbee, I knew most of Melissa’s family. Two of my cousins are actually good friends with Melissa and her sister Megan. Since seeing this wonderful family in 2017, it was great to connect with them again.

We had plenty of time during their portrait session, so I captured some awesomely fun photos I don’t usually have time to grab. Their wedding party was so great to work with, and we had an enjoyable time.
