Stunning Blue Sky Lodge Wedding in Exclusive Deep Creek Lake

My first wedding of 2023 kicked off with warm winter vibes at one of the popular Deep Creek Lake Wedding Venues, Blue Sky Lodge in Maryland. Blue Sky Lodge was the perfect place for a vacation rental wedding.

Ashley and Nolan met while working at Oglebay Resort, where she worked as a wedding coordinator, and he worked in the electrical department. I’ve known Ashley since 2017 when she coordinated a family member’s wedding, and I photographed her sister-in-law’s wedding in the spring. She owns her coordinating business, Plans for Perfection, and operates on the side while coordinating for The Oaklander Hotel in Pittsburgh.

Deep Creek Wedding

Ashley and Nolan wanted a small, intimate wedding with their closest family and friends. There are many private homes for rent for weddings Maryland, so the Blue Sky Lodge Deep Creek was the perfect location for their special day. Deep Creek Lake, Maryland, offers many homes and cabins for a weekend getaway, and many folks enjoy coming to this four-season area for recreational activities.

Hosting a wedding at a private home may be challenging to find, but Railey Vacations of Deep Creek offers several places for a vacation rental wedding. Several of their lakeside homes give the perfect backdrop for a Blue Sky Lodge Deep Creek wedding.

Although it was freezing outside, Ashley did an excellent job coordinating her wedding in less than two months. Altogether, this home offered the perfect cozy, low-key wedding they desired. The outdoor ceremony was breathtaking, with the log chalet on a mountainside overlooking the lake. Ashley used stunning green hues to decorate the gorgeous interior of the home. In addition to the super lush greenery installation hanging from the wooden beams, string cafe lights were also installed. Ashley put so much thought into all the wedding details, including the tablescape at the reception. Instead of having regular drinking glasses, she beautified the setting with green goblets to match the color scheme.
